Mending
after betrayal
Beginning October 28th
GROUP DESCRIPTION
Mending After Betrayal is an eight-week, therapist-led group for women navigating the emotional and relational impact of sexual betrayal.
Betrayal can leave you questioning what was real, struggling to feel safe, and wondering whether you can trust yourself or your relationship again.
This group offers a confidential space to understand the impact of betrayal, process grief and loss, work through shame and self-blame, establish healthy boundaries, and begin rebuilding self-trust.
Through guided conversation, practical tools, therapeutic exercises, and connection with other women who understand, participants will explore what healing and meaningful repair can look like while becoming clearer about their own needs, values, and next steps.
You don’t have to know whether the relationship will survive to begin discovering how you will.
WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE
Build safety within the group and begin making sense of betrayal, discovery, shock, confusion, and the emotional upheaval that can follow.
❋ Week 1 | When Your World Changes
❋ Week 2 | Understanding What Happened to You
Explore common responses to betrayal—including hyper vigilance, intrusive thoughts, anger, numbness, and the need for answers—while learning ways to help your mind and body feel safer.
❋ Week 3 | Grieving What Was Lost
Make space for losses that may be difficult to name: trust, certainty, intimacy, the relationship you believed you had, and the future you imagined.
❋ Week 4 | Shame, Self-Blame & "Was I not Enough?"
Explore comparison, body image, rejection, shame, and self-blame while separating another person’s choices from your identity and worth.
❋ Week 5 | Boundaries, Safety & What You Need Now
Identify what you need to feel emotionally, relationally, and sexually safe while learning the difference between boundaries, requests, and attempts to control another person.
Reconnect with your thoughts, emotions, values, intuition, and body while rebuilding confidence in your ability to recognize what you need and make decisions for yourself.
❋ Week 6 | Learning to Trust Yourself Again
Explore accountability, honesty, empathy, transparency, consistency, and changed patterns while learning to distinguish promises and apologies from meaningful relational repair.
❋ Week 7 | What Does Repair Look Like?
❋ Week 8 | Moving Forward Without Losing Yourself
Integrate what you’ve learned, reconnect with your identity and values, and develop a path forward that isn’t dependent on having every question about the relationship answered.
